Understand the acting industry before you go on that first TV Commercial, Film or Stage audition. Make sure you know what your resume should look like, how to get the headshot you need and when do you actually need an actor’s website and demo reel. Understand what an Agent, Manager and Casting Director can do for you.  How can you find out about auditions before you have an agent?  Keeping yourself safe in this industry.  All of this and more will be discussed. Take away the mystery of the acting industry!

Discover audition protocol for Commercials, TV, Film, Industrials and Stage. Learn how to walk into the audition room with strength and deliver what you have prepared. What goes into choosing the best monologue and song for your auditions. Cold reading audition technique that will help you land the job.  How to prepare scenes for stage/film callback.  All of this as well as performers taking part in mock auditions, will help your performer feel comfortable when she/he walk into their auditions.


Foundations of Voice Acting Workshop

In this voiceover workshop we’ll cover the world of voiceovers from commercials, to narrations, to audio books. You’ll discover your voice and find out which style is the right one for you. Through lecture, critique and lots of practice you’ll refine timing, inflection, articulation and emotional techniques. Learn where to find work or an agent, how to prepare and record your professional demo, and understanding what is needed for a functional home studio. Enjoy this fun class taught by a 20-year industry professional to lay the foundation and get your voiceover career headed in the right direction.
