TEACHING ARTIST
Lauryn Morgan Thomas is a professional actor and theatre artist based in the Greater Philadelphia region. In 2017, Lauryn graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with an honors Bachelor of Philosophy in Theatre Arts, a Bachelor of Arts in Fiction Writing, and a certificate in Children’s Literature. She has since received training from Broadway choreographers Kelli Barclay and Randy Skinner through Goodspeed Musicals’ Movers Bootcamp in 2018, and trained with members of Shakespeare & Co. in LeCoq and Linklater techniques.

Her recent credits include Lockhardt (Philadelphia Fringe, Sydney), Can Can (Broadway Theatre of Pitman, Claudine), Ragtime (Sketch Club Players, Evelyn Nesbit), and recently appeared at the Arden Theatre in Alex Keiper and the Next Generation Cabaret and at Don’t Tell Mama Piano Bar in Seth’s Talent Showcase in New York. She devised, designed, and performed her solo show Lightyears Away From You at the University of Pittsburgh in 2017.

Lauryn teaches students of all ages, both in the classroom setting and in voice lessons one-on-one. She is passionate about sharing what she has learned in the industry with her students in a fun and comfortable environment. She hopes to give back to the theatre community that raised her to be the artist she is today by fostering the next generation of young people to be kind, generous, and thoughtful artists.
