Mark Sherlock is an actor and teacher, and after years living out of state, he is happy to have recently moved back home to the Philadelphia area. As a teacher, he has taught theater professionally with every age group: elementary school students (with Orlando Repertory Theater), middle school students (with Imagine Kissimmee Charter Academy in Kissimmee, FL), high school students (with Philadelphia’s Parks and Recreation Department), and college undergraduates (with Purdue University and Stetson University). As an actor, some of the theatre companies he has worked with are the Garden Theatre, Orlando Repertory Theater, Roxy Regional Theater, Delaware Shakespeare Festival, and the Stagecrafters Theater. He also has experience with educational outreach touring theatre, and has worked with companies such as Bright Star Touring Theater and MicheLee Puppet Theater. He holds an MFA degree in Theatre from Purdue University, and a BA degree in Theater from Temple University. He believes that arts education benefits the growth and development of every student, regardless of their experience level or future path. He is excited to reconnect with this wonderful community, and for the chance to work with the students of the West Chester Studio for the Performing Arts.
